Here's a topic that pops up from time to time.

Depending on the way in which you look at the HK film industry, you'll either be happy or sad as we move into the 21st century. From being one of the top three movie producing countries in the world, HK has slipped far down the chart. Though, while less movies are produced each year, they are more polished and have bigger budgets than just a couple of decades ago.

But what about all the kung fu? There aren't anywhere near the same number of martial arts movies coming out of HK. A lot of people point to the fact that there aren't really any martial arts actors coming through anymore.

So what do people think? Is it enough for pop stars to get doubles and good choreographers to make kung fu movies for us? Or do we still need the real deal?

And who will take over the reigns of martial arts cinema? Wu Jing perhaps - though he hasn't really been that successful so far.

People, comment please!
