This was the first of the Mr Vampire series that I watched -- buying the dvd because Yuen Biao is featured in it -- but it really has the goods. The humour is still fresh, the setting is modern ... I was thinking about the dominance that Sammo and his Peking opera classmates have had on HK cinema, particularly in the late-70s and 80s, and then started wondering about LCY's schoolmates. I have a problem. I watched it yesterday and to be honest I am puzzled. The Database includes Lam Ching Ying and Wu Ma as uncredited actors in that movie (as well as Yuen King Tan, who is REALLY having a role in this movie) but the other two actors', LCY and Wu Ma's scene is from the "original" Swordsman movie. In this case Sam Hui should be added as uncredited as well, cause that scene is completely copied into the opening scene of this movie. What ...
