Oh wow! Have found this in The Bloody Ring! I thought he only had a minor role as a thug at the beggining of the movie.

Wow, LCY moved very well in this fight. Who was the choreographer?

"The Bloody Ring" was one of Sammo's early efforts away from the old skool films.

Even though this film is not that great,i like it,mainly because of cameos.

Teddy Yip, who directed it, later become a regular character player in many of Sammo's films, especially through the eighties to the mid nineties. The support cast is brilliant as you so rightly say Ekisha, featuring Sammo, Lam Ching Ying, Mars, Yuen Wah, Peter Chan and Billy Chan. Larry Lee Gam-Kwan, the star, only made nine or ten films to my knowledge.

I know he also directed "Sleeping Fist" and "The Thundering Mantis". Two of my favourite Leung Kar-Yan films.

Leung Kar Yan rocks but I haven't seen either of those movies...Highly recommended then?

"Sleeping Fist" is light and funny with some eccentric fight styles to say the least. "The Thundering Mantis" is far darker with a violent conclusion that has to be seen to be believed. Both recommended but be prepared for the change in mood.

Sweet, will definitely try to find a copy. It really blows being in Australia for HK films though . Especially considering that I live literally across the road from Chinatown, Canberra.
